Market Season is Here! How to Shop Local & Support Small Businesses

Spring means market season is officially kicking off, and I couldn’t be more excited! After a long winter, there’s nothing better than setting up my booth, connecting with amazing customers, and seeing all the incredible handmade goods from fellow makers.

If you love shopping small and discovering unique, handmade finds, now is the time to start planning your spring market trips. In this post, I’m sharing why shopping local makes such a big impact, plus how you can support small businesses (even if you can’t attend a market in person!).

Why Shopping Local Matters

When you choose to support small businesses at local markets, you’re doing more than just making a purchase—you’re investing in real people, creativity, and your own community. Here’s why shopping small makes a difference:

❤️ You’re supporting someone’s dream – Every purchase helps a small business thrive.

🎨 You get unique, handmade items – No mass-produced products, just quality craftsmanship.

🌱 You’re making an eco-friendly choice – Many small businesses prioritize sustainability.

Plus, shopping at a market is an experience—you get to meet the makers, see products up close, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of a local event!

Where to Find Me This Market Season

I’ll be at the Moses Lake Farmers Market Spring Fling on April 5, 2025, and I’d love for you to stop by! You’ll find my booth stocked with all your favorite handmade bags, candles, and accessories, plus a few market-exclusive surprises.

New arrivals – Fresh spring styles, limited-edition collections, and market-only exclusives.

Meet the maker – A chance to chat with me and see my work in person.

Exclusive deals – Some of my best discounts are available at markets only!

Can’t Make It to a Market? Here’s How to Support Small Businesses

Even if you can’t attend in person, there are still plenty of ways to support small businesses:

📲 Follow & engage on social media – Likes, comments, and shares help more than you know!

💻 Shop online – Many makers (including me!) offer online shopping year-round.

💬 Spread the word – Tell friends & family about your favorite small businesses.

And if you ever have questions about my products just send me a message—I love hearing from you!

See You at the Market!

I can’t wait to kick off market season and see all of you in person! Mark your calendars, grab a friend, and come experience the magic of shopping small.
